Fully customizable, it allows the photographer to create their own specifications. And SIGMA’s exclusive software makes the lens extremely easy to customize!

• Three FLD Elements, One SLD Element - This lens incorporates three FLD (“F” Low Dispersion) glass elements and one SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element to provide excellent correction of magnification chromatic aberration encountered in hyper-telephoto shooting. This offers both high resolution and consistent edge-to-edge performance through the entire zoom range.
• Intelligent OS - An algorithm that enables photographers to pan more effectively. It uses information collected by an acceleration sensor to detect a panning movement (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) and deliver effective stabilization. This feature is available on all of SIGMA’s telephoto lenses that have OS switches 1 and 2 (with the exception of the SIGMA 120-300mm F2.8 DG OS HSM | Sports).
• TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) - TSC is a type of polycarbonate with a thermal expansion rate similar to that of aluminum. It has a high affinity to metal parts which contributes to high-quality product manufacturing.
• Water- and Oil-Repellent Coating - The front lens element incorporates water and oil-repellent coating that allows water to be wiped away easily and prevents oil and fat from sticking to the surface, even in challenging shooting conditions. At the same time, the maintenance of the lens surface becomes easier.
• Dust and Splash Resistant Structure - This lens features a highly effective dust and splash-resistant structure* with special sealing at the mount connection, manual focus ring, zoom ring, and cover connection, allowing photographers to work in all types of weather.
• High-speed AF - The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures high speed and quiet AF.
• Tele Converters - Designed to match the current lens lineup (optional) can be attached. *When it is attached to cameras that are compatible with AF at F8, focus accuracy is not ensured on the telephoto side at the focal length scale of more than 300mm.
