Canon EOS R50 V Mirrorless Camera – 24.2MP APS-C 4K Video System
The Canon EOS R50 V Mirrorless Camera is a creator-ready, video-first powerhouse that blends the image quality of a 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor with the speed and intelligence of Canon’s DIGIC X and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II—so your reels, vlogs, livestreams, and product videos look crisp, colorful, and consistently in focus from the first take. Purpose-built for content, it ditches the viewfinder and flash to stay compact and travel-light while adding what creators actually need: dual record buttons (including a front button you can hit while facing the lens), front and top tally lights so you always know when you’re rolling, and even a second tripod mount on the side for native vertical shooting without awkward plates or cages.
Frame yourself perfectly with the fully articulating 3.0" touchscreen (approx. 1.04M dots) and shoot cinematic 4K UHD at 30p oversampled from 6K for extra detail, step up to 4K60 (approx. 1.56× crop) when motion demands fluidity, or slow things dramatically with Full HD 120p for silky B-roll. Color is where the R50 V punches above its class: Canon Log 3 for flexible grading, plus HLG and PQ HDR options when you want broadcast-ready dynamic range straight out of camera—alongside creative Picture Styles and 14 in-camera Color Filters for fast, on-brand looks without a long edit. Autofocus is sticky and smart with advanced subject detection for People, Animals, and Vehicles, and “Register People Priority AF” that lets you pre-register faces so the camera locks onto your hero subject even in busy scenes—great for events, interviews, and multi-talent shoots. For handheld creators, Movie Digital IS combines with optical IS lenses to steady walk-and-talk shots; pair it with compact RF-S zooms for a featherweight rig, or tap the body’s built-in Power Zoom lever to drive compatible PZ lenses (like the RF-S 14–30mm IS STM PZ), with separate pre-record and during-record speed settings for pro-looking moves.
Audio is production-friendly with a 3-mic array plus 3.5 mm mic input and 3.5 mm headphone out for live monitoring, while the Multi-Function Shoe opens the door to powered accessories. Connectivity is creator-grade: USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) for fast offloads and USB power delivery/charging, Micro HDMI for clean output to capture cards and switchers, plus Wi-Fi (802.11ac) and Bluetooth for remote control, sharing, and app-based livestream workflows. Practicalities are dialed: a single UHS-II SD slot keeps 4K files moving, the LP-E17 battery delivers up to ~480 shots (CIPA, LCD), and the rugged, go-everywhere body weighs roughly 370 g (including battery/card) and measures about 119.3 × 73.7 × 45.2 mm—small enough to slip into a sling, powerful enough to anchor a studio desk setup. The video-centric mode dial puts seven creator-focused modes a click away (including Slow/Fast, Smooth Skin, and cinematic framing aids), the UI auto-rotates for vertical capture, and the front tally plus front record button make self-shooting a no-stress affair—hit record, nail the message, and move on. Compared to other entry-level mirrorless options, the EOS R50 V stands out by delivering oversampled 4K, 10-bit 4:2:2 recording (when using Log/HLG/PQ), pro-leaning autofocus features, built-in power-zoom control, creator ergonomics, and a modern RF/RF-S lens ecosystem that scales with you from compact primes to fast L-glass.
Whether you’re launching a channel, streamlining your content pipeline, or upgrading from a smartphone to something that looks and sounds premium, the EOS R50 V gives you the tools to shoot faster, grade smarter, and publish sooner—with fewer retakes, less rigging, and more creative control. Add the RF-S 14–30mm IS STM PZ kit for an ultra-wide, stabilized, power-zoom starting point that’s made for tight spaces, desk setups, and dynamic walk-throughs; or build your own kit around fast RF primes for dreamy bokeh and low-light authority. If you want a compact, affordable mirrorless that’s engineered for the way creators actually work—self-shooting, vertical/horizontal on demand, livestream-ready I/O, and color that pops on every platform—choose the Canon EOS R50 V today and turn more ideas into on-brand, high-impact content that converts.
Features:
24.2MP APS-C CMOS Sensor with DIGIC X Processing
At the heart of the Canon EOS R50 V is a 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor paired with the DIGIC X processor, a powerful combination that delivers high-resolution stills and oversampled 4K video with incredible detail, vibrant colors, and low noise even in challenging lighting. This sensor size strikes the perfect balance between portability and image quality, making it an ideal choice for creators who need professional-level performance in a compact body.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with Advanced Subject Detection
Canon’s renowned Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system ensures precise and lightning-fast autofocus across nearly the entire frame. It intelligently detects and tracks People, Animals, and Vehicles, keeping your subject tack-sharp whether you’re filming dynamic action, interviews, or casual vlogs. The addition of “Register People Priority AF” allows you to register specific faces so the camera prioritizes them even in crowded environments, giving you control over who stays in focus.
Front and Top Tally Lights for Recording Confidence
Unlike traditional cameras, the EOS R50 V incorporates tally lights on both the front and top of the body. These visible indicators eliminate second-guessing by confirming recording status at a glance—perfect for solo creators, vloggers, and livestreamers who need reassurance that their content is actually being captured.
Dual Record Buttons for Flexible Shooting
The camera features not one, but two record buttons—one in the traditional location near the shutter and another conveniently placed on the front of the body. This thoughtful design ensures you can easily start or stop recording whether you’re behind the lens or facing it, dramatically simplifying self-shooting setups.
Vertical and Horizontal Tripod Mounts
A side-mounted tripod socket in addition to the traditional bottom mount allows creators to switch between horizontal and vertical orientations without clumsy cages or adapters. This makes vertical video—crucial for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts—seamless and more professional.
Oversampled 4K UHD Video and 120p Full HD
The EOS R50 V records oversampled 4K UHD video at 30p from 6K sensor data, ensuring maximum detail and sharpness without moiré. For action or motion-heavy scenes, it can capture 4K60 with a crop or shoot smooth slow-motion sequences at Full HD 120p. Combined with 10-bit 4:2:2 color options, it delivers cinematic quality that stands out across platforms.
Canon Log 3, HDR PQ, and HLG Color Profiles
Color flexibility is a major strength of the R50 V. Canon Log 3 provides maximum dynamic range for professional color grading, while HDR PQ and HLG modes enable HDR workflows straight out of the camera for brilliant highlights and natural shadows. Casual creators can also rely on Canon’s Picture Styles and 14 in-camera Color Filters to create unique, ready-to-publish looks without extra editing.
Built-In Power Zoom Control for RF-S PZ Lenses
For the first time in this class, Canon has integrated a body-side zoom lever that controls Power Zoom lenses like the RF-S 14–30mm IS STM PZ. This allows creators to execute smooth, repeatable zooms at customizable speeds—both before recording and during capture—bringing broadcast-style production control to a compact vlogging camera.
Movie Digital IS and Optical IS Support
Although the EOS R50 V doesn’t include in-body stabilization, it offers Canon’s Movie Digital IS system, which electronically stabilizes handheld footage. When combined with optical IS lenses, it effectively reduces shakes and jitters, making it an excellent tool for walk-and-talk creators or handheld shooting on the go.
Fully Articulating 3.0" Touchscreen LCD
The vari-angle 3.0-inch LCD touchscreen allows you to shoot from any angle—whether overhead, low to the ground, or facing yourself for vlogs. With intuitive touch controls, you can adjust focus, navigate menus, and monitor recording in real time. Its responsive design makes it a true command center for creators who prioritize flexibility.
Professional Audio Options with 3-Mic Array and Ports
The built-in 3-microphone array enhances audio capture by reducing ambient noise and focusing on the subject. For professional sound, the camera includes a 3.5 mm microphone input and headphone output, ensuring full control during recording. This setup is essential for interviews, YouTube content, or livestreams where audio quality is as important as video clarity.
Lightweight, Compact Design at Just 370g
Weighing only about 370 grams including battery and memory card, the EOS R50 V is one of the lightest video-centric mirrorless cameras available. Its compact body makes it travel-friendly and effortless to carry all day, while still packing pro-grade features that let you work without compromise.
High-Speed Connectivity for Content Creators
With USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, Micro HDMI, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Bluetooth, the EOS R50 V ensures fast transfers, clean live outputs, and seamless pairing with mobile devices. Whether you’re livestreaming through Canon’s Camera Connect app, tethering for studio shoots, or simply transferring files for editing, the connectivity options are modern, fast, and reliable.
Long-Lasting Battery Life with USB Power Delivery
Powered by the Canon LP-E17 battery, the camera offers up to 480 shots on a single charge when using the LCD. With USB Power Delivery support, you can also charge or run the camera directly from a power bank, keeping your setup running during extended livestreams or long recording sessions.

It is so nice to see a small family owned shop instead of these big box stores. I generally felt cared about when getting my blackmagic cinema camera. Love the quality of the images and how easy it is to use.

This small business has the best customer service HANDS DOWN!!
Lucas worked with me diligently to help me find a camera that would fit my needs and that would arrive in time for my trip. I take photos, but wanted a smaller, more compact camera to take with me when traveling. He even reached out to other camera experts to make sure he was giving me the best advice for the equipment that would accommodate my needs!
Lucas was patient with me and was in constant contact with the camera supplier to keep me updated on the status of my order and when the items would be ready for shipment. Once my order arrived to the store, it was in my hands in less than 2 days. I would give 10 stars to this business if I could!!
SHOP SMALL! :)
AMAZING SERVICE!
In short: I was able to receive the black colorway below retail and free next day shipping with the promos that they offered for being a new camera web-shop based from AZ.
Long story: Lucas who is prolly the only rep for the company cuz they're so small is the best dude ever. Since i ordered he responded on emails and updates quicker than some of my friends texting me back about where am at on the list as people just kept cancelling their order. I went from 9th place in line to 4th place in line for the silver. And he hit me up saying that they were still waiting on Fuji to send shipping updates and that no company knows what they get on their weekly fuji shipments other than from a 24 hour window of receiving shipping details.
He then noted that there were two black X100Vs available that were reserved to customers who ordered but have not confirmed. I said if they dont confirm please let me know and ill take that instead of the silver. The next day he hits me saying the customer said to cancel and he sent me an invoice. I ordered accessories for the camera on amazon right after and my package for the camera came before my amazon package. Lucas was super nice and transparent about everything. Dope experience from NUZIRA.
Lucas was so incredibly helpful!!! I’ve genuinely never had better customer service. They offered to stay late so I could get my order and were so patient with all my questions. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

NUZIRA MADE MY MONTH!
I was a little concerned when I first came across this small business but I am so so thankful I di! They have the NICESt staff and customer service. I have been on the waitlist for this camera for a few months now so when Lucas called saying they had it back in stock I was so freaking excited! Made my whole month. This camera absolutely lives up to the hype. I love how lightweight it is. I can pop it into any bag and head out the door. the images are crisp, high quality, and stunning. I use film sim and not film sim. The film simulations are nearly identical to real film. I have another fuji camera that does film sim but it can't even be compared to this one. I love my Fujifilm X100v so much! Amazing camera! Thanks you Nuzira!
