Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III Digital Camera – 20.1MP 1-Inch Sensor, 4K Video & 24–100mm f/1.8–2.8 Zoom
The Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III Digital Camera is a pocket-sized compact camera designed for photographers, travelers, vloggers, and content creators who want more imaging control than a typical smartphone without carrying an interchangeable-lens system. It combines a 20.1MP 1-inch stacked CMOS sensor with Canon’s DIGIC 8 image processor and a built-in 24–100mm equivalent zoom lens, giving users a practical range for landscapes, street photography, portraits, everyday shooting, and video. Its compact 304 g ready-to-shoot weight also makes it well suited to situations where portability matters.
Its 4.2x optical zoom lens offers a bright f/1.8 maximum aperture at the 24mm wide end and f/2.8 at 100mm, helping with handheld shooting, subject separation, and lower-light situations. Optical image stabilization further assists with camera shake, while RAW and C-RAW recording provide more flexibility for photographers who prefer post-processing. For faster subjects, the G7 X Mark III can shoot at approximately 20 fps with One-Shot AF and offers a 30 fps RAW Burst mode. Video capabilities include 4K UHD recording up to 29.97 fps and Full HD recording up to 119.88 fps, complemented by a 3-inch 1.04-million-dot tilting touchscreen, 3.5mm external microphone input, vertical video support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB-C, and Micro HDMI connectivity.
The G7 X Mark III makes the most sense for users who value strong still-photo and video capabilities in a genuinely portable camera. Its 1-inch sensor, fast zoom lens, manual exposure controls, external microphone support, and creator-focused display distinguish it from simpler point-and-shoot cameras, while avoiding the size and lens investment of a mirrorless system. It does not include a built-in electronic viewfinder, and its 24–100mm lens cannot match the reach or flexibility of interchangeable lenses, but for travel, everyday photography, vlogging, social content, and lightweight video production, it offers a particularly useful balance of image quality, speed, control, and portability.

Features:
20.1MP 1-Inch Stacked CMOS Sensor for Detailed Imaging
The Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III uses a 20.1-megapixel 1-inch stacked CMOS sensor, giving photographers a considerably larger imaging area than is typically found in basic compact cameras. The sensor supports detailed still photography while providing the processing speed needed for high-speed continuous shooting and 4K video. Its combination of resolution and sensor size makes the camera useful for travel, portraits, everyday photography, social content, and situations where users want strong image quality without carrying a larger interchangeable-lens system.
DIGIC 8 Image Processor for Fast Camera Performance
Canon pairs the 1-inch sensor with its DIGIC 8 image processor to handle image processing, exposure, continuous shooting, autofocus operations, and video capture. The processing platform is an important part of the G7 X Mark III's ability to provide high-resolution stills, RAW capture, fast burst rates, and 4K recording while maintaining the responsive operation expected from a premium compact camera.
Versatile 24–100mm Equivalent Zoom Range
The built-in 4.2x optical zoom covers a 24–100mm equivalent focal-length range, allowing the camera to handle several common types of photography without requiring interchangeable lenses. The 24mm wide-angle position is useful for landscapes, interiors, travel scenes, group photographs, and handheld vlogging, while the middle and telephoto portions of the range provide more natural framing for everyday subjects and portraits. This versatility is especially valuable when traveling light.
Bright f/1.8–2.8 Maximum Aperture
A maximum aperture of f/1.8 at the wide end and f/2.8 at the telephoto end gives the G7 X Mark III a notable advantage over compact cameras equipped with slower zoom lenses. The brighter aperture allows more light to reach the sensor, which can help when shooting indoors or in lower-light environments. It also gives photographers greater control over depth of field and subject-background separation, particularly when working toward the longer end of the zoom.
Optical Image Stabilization for Handheld Shooting
Built-in optical image stabilization helps compensate for movement caused by handheld camera shake. This is particularly useful when working at slower shutter speeds, using the telephoto end of the lens, or shooting in environments where available light is limited. Rather than relying entirely on higher ISO settings, photographers have another tool for maintaining clearer handheld results.
Up to 20 fps High-Speed Continuous Shooting
For subjects that change position or expression quickly, the camera can shoot at approximately 20 frames per second with One-Shot AF. The additional speed gives photographers more frames from which to select the most useful moment, making the G7 X Mark III better suited to spontaneous action, events, pets, street photography, and other situations where timing can be difficult to predict.
30 fps RAW Burst Mode for Critical Moments
RAW Burst Mode increases capture speed to approximately 30 frames per second while retaining RAW-format information. This is particularly useful when the exact peak of an action is difficult to anticipate. Photographers can capture a rapid sequence and select the strongest frame afterward while maintaining greater post-processing flexibility than a JPEG-only workflow would provide.
RAW and C-RAW Recording for Greater Editing Flexibility
In addition to JPEG files, the G7 X Mark III supports Canon CR3 RAW and C-RAW recording. RAW capture retains substantially more image information for photographers who want greater control over exposure, white balance, tonal adjustments, and other parameters during post-processing. C-RAW provides an alternative for users who want RAW editing flexibility while managing storage more efficiently.
4K UHD Video for Detailed Content Creation
The camera records 3840 × 2160 4K UHD video at up to 29.97 fps, providing significantly more resolution than standard Full HD recording. This makes the G7 X Mark III useful for travel videos, vlogs, product demonstrations, social-media content, and other projects where detailed footage is important. Its combination of 4K capability and compact dimensions allows creators to carry a capable video camera without building a larger interchangeable-lens setup.
Full HD 119.88 fps High-Frame-Rate Recording
Full HD video can be recorded at up to 119.88 frames per second, providing creators with the ability to capture high-frame-rate footage for slow-motion playback. This is useful for emphasizing movement, documenting fast action, or adding more varied visual pacing to edited videos.
Dedicated 3.5mm External Microphone Input
A 3.5mm microphone terminal allows creators to use a compatible external microphone instead of depending entirely on the camera's built-in stereo microphones. Better microphone placement and the ability to choose a microphone suited to the recording environment can make a substantial difference for dialogue, interviews, presentations, travel videos, and vlogs. The microphone input is an especially important feature for users considering the G7 X Mark III primarily as a content-creation camera.
3-Inch Tilting Touchscreen for Flexible Composition
The 3.0-inch TFT LCD provides approximately 1.04 million dots and touchscreen operation. Its tilting design allows photographers to compose from positions that would otherwise be uncomfortable, including low and high shooting angles. Touch operation also provides a familiar way to interact with camera functions and select areas of the frame.
180° Upward-Facing Screen for Vlogging and Self-Recording
The display can face forward by tilting upward, allowing users to see themselves while recording or taking photographs. This makes framing considerably easier for solo creators, vloggers, travelers, and anyone producing self-recorded content without another person operating the camera.
Vertical Video Support for Social Content
Vertical video recording supports workflows intended for portrait-oriented viewing and social platforms. Instead of treating every recording as conventional horizontal footage, creators can capture content in an orientation that better matches smartphone viewing and vertical-video publishing.
Manual Exposure Controls for Creative Photography
Program, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, and Manual exposure modes give photographers control beyond the automatic operation associated with basic point-and-shoot cameras. Users can select shutter speed to control motion, adjust aperture for depth of field, or manage both settings manually when consistent exposure is important. These controls make the G7 X Mark III suitable for users who want a compact camera without giving up conventional photographic control.
Wide 30 to 1/25,600-Second Shutter-Speed Range
In Tv, M, and supported movie settings, shutter speeds extend from 30 seconds to 1/25,600 second, with Bulb available in Manual mode. Longer exposures can be useful for creative low-light photography, while very fast shutter speeds provide additional control when freezing movement or working under bright conditions.
ISO Flexibility for Changing Lighting Conditions
The G7 X Mark III provides adjustable sensitivity for working across different lighting environments, with still-image sensitivity extending to ISO 12,800 in supported modes and an expanded H setting listed by Canon at ISO 25,600. Combined with the bright lens and optical stabilization, adjustable ISO gives photographers several ways to respond when available light changes.
Evaluative, Center-Weighted and Spot Metering
Multiple metering methods allow photographers to choose how the camera evaluates brightness. Evaluative metering provides a practical general-purpose option, center-weighted metering emphasizes the central portion of the image, and spot metering allows more targeted exposure measurements. These options provide additional control in scenes with difficult or uneven lighting.
±3 EV Exposure Compensation
Exposure compensation of up to ±3 stops in 1/3-stop increments allows photographers and videographers to quickly make an image brighter or darker without moving entirely to manual exposure. This is useful when automatic metering does not produce the intended brightness, such as with strongly backlit, very bright, or predominantly dark scenes.
One-Shot AF and Servo AF for Different Subject Types
The autofocus system provides One-Shot AF for stationary subjects and Servo AF for situations requiring continuous focusing. This gives photographers the flexibility to adapt focusing behavior according to whether they are photographing a portrait, landscape, moving person, pet, or other changing subject.
Close Focusing for Detail Photography
At the wide-angle position, the camera can focus as close as approximately 5cm. This provides useful flexibility for photographing food, products, flowers, small objects, and other details without requiring a separate macro lens.
Multiple Aspect Ratios for Different Outputs
Still images can be composed in 3:2, 4:3, 16:9, and 1:1 aspect ratios. This allows photographers to consider the intended presentation while shooting, whether the final image is intended for conventional photography, widescreen displays, social platforms, or square-format compositions.
Panorama Shooting for Wide Scenes
Panoramic image capture provides another option for landscapes, cityscapes, interiors, and other scenes that extend beyond the field of view of a single standard photograph. Both horizontal and vertical panorama formats are supported, providing additional flexibility when documenting expansive environments.
Built-In Pop-Up Flash
The integrated flash provides convenient supplemental illumination without requiring users to carry a separate flash unit. It can help with nearby subjects in darker environments or provide additional illumination when available light is insufficient. Auto, On, Off, and Slow Sync operation provide different approaches depending on the shooting situation.
Wi-Fi for Wireless Image Transfer
Built-in Wi-Fi enables compatible wireless workflows for transferring images and connecting the camera with supported devices. This can reduce dependence on removing the memory card whenever photos need to be moved to another device, which is particularly convenient when traveling or preparing images for online sharing.
Bluetooth Low Energy for Smartphone Connectivity
Bluetooth Low Energy complements the camera's Wi-Fi capabilities and supports integration with compatible smartphones through Canon Camera Connect. Mobile connectivity makes the camera more practical for photographers and creators who frequently move images from their dedicated camera into a smartphone-based editing or sharing workflow.
Remote Shooting Through Compatible Mobile Devices
Wireless connectivity supports remote camera operation with compatible devices. Remote shooting can be useful for group photographs, self-portraits, tripod-mounted photography, or situations where physically touching the camera could disturb composition.
USB Type-C Connectivity
The USB Type-C interface provides a modern wired connection for compatible USB workflows. The camera also supports in-camera charging with compatible power equipment, giving travelers and creators another way to manage power without depending exclusively on the dedicated battery charger.
Micro HDMI Output for External Displays and Video Workflows
A Micro HDMI Type-D connection enables compatible external display and video-output workflows. This expands the camera's usefulness beyond its built-in LCD when users need to view the camera output on a larger compatible monitor or incorporate it into an appropriate video setup.
SD, SDHC and SDXC UHS-I Memory Card Support
The G7 X Mark III uses widely available SD-format memory cards and supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC media with UHS-I compatibility. This provides users with a broad selection of card capacities and speeds for still photography, RAW shooting, burst capture, and high-bitrate video.
Multiple White Balance Options for Accurate Color
White balance settings include Auto Ambience Priority, Auto White Priority, Daylight, Shade, Cloudy, Tungsten, White Fluorescent Light, Flash, Color Temperature, and Custom. These options allow photographers to manage color according to the lighting environment instead of depending entirely on automatic correction.
Picture Styles for In-Camera Image Control
Canon Picture Styles include Auto, Standard, Portrait, Landscape, Fine Detail, Neutral, Faithful, Monochrome, and three User Defined settings. They allow photographers to tailor the appearance of JPEG images and establish different rendering approaches according to subject matter or personal preferences.
Dedicated Creative and Scene Modes
The camera includes shooting modes designed for specific subjects and creative techniques, including portrait, self-portrait, panning, handheld night scenes, star photography, fireworks, miniature effects, soft focus, grainy black-and-white, background defocus, and other options. These modes can simplify specialized techniques for users who do not always want to configure each camera setting manually.
Star Photography Modes for Night-Sky Shooting
Dedicated Star Portrait, Star Nightscape, Star Trails, and Star Time-Lapse Movie modes provide specialized options for photographing or recording night skies. These modes broaden the camera's creative applications beyond conventional everyday photography and can simplify settings for users experimenting with astrophotography.
Time-Lapse Movie Capability
Time-lapse recording allows slowly developing scenes to be condensed into shorter video sequences. It can be used for changing skies, sunsets, travel environments, city movement, or other subjects where showing change over time adds useful visual context.
Self-Timer and Remote Shooting Options
Two-second, ten-second, custom, and remote shooting options make it easier to photograph groups, self-portraits, or tripod-mounted scenes. The short delay can also help reduce physical camera movement when taking photographs from a stable support.
Extensive In-Camera Playback and Processing
The camera provides functions including RAW image processing, cropping, resizing, rotation, red-eye correction, creative filters, slideshows, image search, protection, and other playback tools. These capabilities allow photographers to perform a range of basic image-management and processing tasks directly on the camera when a computer is not immediately available.
NB-13L Rechargeable Battery with ECO Mode
The Canon NB-13L rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 235 shots under standard conditions, while ECO mode can extend the rating to approximately 320 shots. ECO mode is useful when traveling or shooting away from convenient charging access and helps users make more efficient use of the compact battery.
Compact 304g Ready-to-Shoot Design
At approximately 304g with the battery and memory card installed, the G7 X Mark III delivers its 1-inch sensor, fast 24–100mm-equivalent zoom, 4K recording, touchscreen, flash, and wireless connectivity in a highly portable form. This is one of its most meaningful advantages over interchangeable-lens cameras: it can serve as an everyday or travel camera without requiring a separate camera bag and multiple lenses.
Integrated Lens Eliminates Lens Changes
Because the 24–100mm equivalent zoom is permanently integrated into the camera, there is no need to select, carry, or swap separate lenses. This simplifies travel and everyday photography while also reducing the chance of missing a spontaneous moment during a lens change. The trade-off is that users cannot expand the system with different focal-length lenses, making the G7 X Mark III most appropriate for photographers whose needs fall within its built-in zoom range.
Creator-Focused Photo and Video Combination
Rather than concentrating exclusively on still photography or video, the G7 X Mark III combines a 1-inch sensor, RAW photography, high-speed bursts, 4K video, high-frame-rate Full HD recording, a forward-facing touchscreen, external microphone support, vertical video, and wireless connectivity in one compact body. That combination makes it particularly relevant to travelers and content creators who regularly move between photography, vlogging, short-form content, and conventional video without wanting to carry separate devices.
Best For
- Travelers and everyday photographers – A compact 304g ready-to-shoot body and versatile 24–100mm equivalent zoom cover common subjects without requiring additional lenses.
- Vloggers and solo content creators – The forward-facing tilting touchscreen, 4K recording, vertical video support, and 3.5mm microphone input provide a practical setup for self-recorded content.

It is so nice to see a small family owned shop instead of these big box stores. I generally felt cared about when getting my blackmagic cinema camera. Love the quality of the images and how easy it is to use.

This small business has the best customer service HANDS DOWN!!
Lucas worked with me diligently to help me find a camera that would fit my needs and that would arrive in time for my trip. I take photos, but wanted a smaller, more compact camera to take with me when traveling. He even reached out to other camera experts to make sure he was giving me the best advice for the equipment that would accommodate my needs!
Lucas was patient with me and was in constant contact with the camera supplier to keep me updated on the status of my order and when the items would be ready for shipment. Once my order arrived to the store, it was in my hands in less than 2 days. I would give 10 stars to this business if I could!!
SHOP SMALL! :)
AMAZING SERVICE!
In short: I was able to receive the black colorway below retail and free next day shipping with the promos that they offered for being a new camera web-shop based from AZ.
Long story: Lucas who is prolly the only rep for the company cuz they're so small is the best dude ever. Since i ordered he responded on emails and updates quicker than some of my friends texting me back about where am at on the list as people just kept cancelling their order. I went from 9th place in line to 4th place in line for the silver. And he hit me up saying that they were still waiting on Fuji to send shipping updates and that no company knows what they get on their weekly fuji shipments other than from a 24 hour window of receiving shipping details.
He then noted that there were two black X100Vs available that were reserved to customers who ordered but have not confirmed. I said if they dont confirm please let me know and ill take that instead of the silver. The next day he hits me saying the customer said to cancel and he sent me an invoice. I ordered accessories for the camera on amazon right after and my package for the camera came before my amazon package. Lucas was super nice and transparent about everything. Dope experience from NUZIRA.
Lucas was so incredibly helpful!!! I’ve genuinely never had better customer service. They offered to stay late so I could get my order and were so patient with all my questions. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

NUZIRA MADE MY MONTH!
I was a little concerned when I first came across this small business but I am so so thankful I di! They have the NICESt staff and customer service. I have been on the waitlist for this camera for a few months now so when Lucas called saying they had it back in stock I was so freaking excited! Made my whole month. This camera absolutely lives up to the hype. I love how lightweight it is. I can pop it into any bag and head out the door. the images are crisp, high quality, and stunning. I use film sim and not film sim. The film simulations are nearly identical to real film. I have another fuji camera that does film sim but it can't even be compared to this one. I love my Fujifilm X100v so much! Amazing camera! Thanks you Nuzira!
