The Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Art Lens for Nikon F is a professional-grade standard zoom designed for photographers who demand uncompromising image quality, reliability, and creative flexibility in real-world shooting conditions, making it an exceptional choice to buy for weddings, portraits, commercial work, events, travel, and advanced everyday photography. Built for full-frame Nikon F-mount DSLR cameras, this lens covers the most versatile focal range in photography, seamlessly transitioning from expansive 24mm wide-angle scenes to flattering 70mm portrait perspectives, all while maintaining a constant f/2.8 aperture that ensures consistent exposure, excellent low-light performance, and beautifully controlled depth of field throughout the zoom range. At its core is Sigma’s Art-series optical engineering, featuring an advanced construction of 19 elements in 14 groups, including three Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements and four precision-molded aspherical elements that work together to suppress chromatic aberrations, minimize distortion, and deliver edge-to-edge sharpness with impressive contrast and clarity, even at maximum aperture. The Super Multi-Layer Coating further enhances image quality by reducing flare and ghosting, allowing you to shoot confidently in challenging lighting situations such as backlit scenes or harsh sunlight while preserving color accuracy and micro-contrast. One of the standout advantages that sets this lens apart from competing 24-70mm options is Sigma’s Optical Stabilizer (OS), which provides up to four stops of shake correction, enabling sharper handheld shots at slower shutter speeds and making it easier to capture crisp images in low-light environments without relying on a tripod. Autofocus performance is equally refined thanks to the Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM), delivering fast, smooth, and near-silent focusing that is ideal for both stills and video, with full-time manual focus override allowing precise fine-tuning whenever creative control is needed. The nine-blade rounded diaphragm enhances background separation and produces smooth, natural-looking bokeh, making subjects stand out beautifully against softly rendered backgrounds, a key benefit for portrait and product photographers. Designed with durability in mind, the lens features a robust construction that combines a brass bayonet mount with Sigma’s Thermally Stable Composite material, ensuring consistent performance across temperature changes, while a dust- and splash-resistant mount seal and a water- and oil-repellent front element coating provide added protection for demanding professional use. Features:
Constant f/2.8 Aperture for Reliable Low-Light and Creative Control
The Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG OS HSM Art Lens for Nikon F features a constant f/2.8 aperture across the entire zoom range, allowing you to maintain consistent exposure settings from 24mm to 70mm without compromise. This is a major advantage in fast-paced shooting environments such as weddings, events, and commercial sessions where lighting conditions change rapidly. The wide aperture also enables superior low-light performance, letting you shoot at lower ISO levels for cleaner images while giving you precise control over depth of field to isolate subjects and achieve professional background blur.
Professional 24–70mm Zoom Range for Maximum Versatility
Covering the most essential focal lengths in photography, this lens seamlessly transitions from wide-angle landscapes and interiors at 24mm to natural-looking portraits and compressed perspectives at 70mm. This versatility reduces the need for frequent lens changes, saving time and ensuring you never miss a critical shot. Whether you are shooting architecture, lifestyle content, products, portraits, or documentary-style work, this focal range adapts effortlessly to nearly every scenario.
Advanced Art-Series Optical Design for Exceptional Sharpness
Engineered under Sigma’s Art series philosophy, the lens uses a sophisticated optical formula of 19 elements in 14 groups, including three Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements and four precision aspherical elements. This design minimizes chromatic aberration, distortion, and edge softness, delivering high-resolution images with outstanding clarity from center to corner. The result is consistent sharpness across the frame, even when shooting wide open at f/2.8, making this lens ideal for professional-grade output and large-format prints.
Optical Stabilization with Up to 4 Stops of Shake Reduction
Sigma’s Optical Stabilizer (OS) system provides up to four stops of image stabilization, allowing you to shoot handheld at slower shutter speeds without sacrificing sharpness. This is especially valuable in low-light environments, indoor locations, or during long shooting days when tripods are impractical. The stabilization system enhances usability for both still photography and video, helping you achieve steadier, more reliable results in real-world conditions.
Hyper Sonic Motor Autofocus for Speed, Precision, and Silence
Equipped with a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM), the lens delivers fast, accurate, and near-silent autofocus performance. This ensures quick subject acquisition for action, events, and spontaneous moments while remaining discreet for video recording or quiet environments. Full-time manual focus override allows instant fine-tuning without switching modes, giving you complete control whenever precision focus is required.
Rounded 9-Blade Diaphragm for Smooth, Natural Bokeh
The nine-blade rounded diaphragm is designed to produce smooth, pleasing out-of-focus areas with soft transitions between sharp and blurred regions. This enhances subject separation and adds a professional, cinematic quality to portraits, product shots, and close-up compositions. Highlights appear more circular and natural, contributing to a refined visual aesthetic that elevates the overall image quality.
Super Multi-Layer Coating for High Contrast and Color Accuracy
Sigma’s Super Multi-Layer Coating significantly reduces lens flare and ghosting, even when shooting into strong light sources. This allows you to maintain high contrast, accurate colors, and rich tonal detail in challenging lighting situations such as backlit scenes, stage lighting, or outdoor shoots under direct sunlight. The coating ensures dependable performance when lighting conditions are unpredictable.
Close Focusing Capability for Creative Detail Shots
With a minimum focusing distance of just 37cm and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4.8, this lens allows you to get closer to your subject than many standard zooms. This opens up creative possibilities for detail-oriented photography such as food, lifestyle, product, and environmental portraits, adding flexibility without the need for a dedicated macro lens.
Durable Professional Construction Built for Demanding Use
The lens is built with a combination of a solid brass bayonet mount and Sigma’s Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) materials, ensuring structural integrity and consistent performance across temperature changes. This robust construction makes the lens reliable for intensive professional use, travel, and long shooting sessions where durability is essential.
Weather-Resistant Design for Real-World Shooting Conditions
Designed to handle demanding environments, the lens features a dust- and splash-resistant mount seal along with a water- and oil-repellent coating on the front element. This added protection helps prevent moisture, dirt, and fingerprints from interfering with image quality, giving you greater confidence when shooting outdoors or in unpredictable conditions.
Nikon F Electromagnetic Diaphragm for Consistent Exposure
The Nikon F-mount version includes an electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism that ensures precise and consistent aperture control, particularly during high-speed continuous shooting. This results in more accurate exposures and improved reliability when working with modern Nikon DSLR bodies, making it a dependable choice for professional workflows.

- High value proposition: Excellent alternative to OEM 24–70mm lenses at a competitive price point
Cons
- Heavier design: More weight than many competing 24–70mm lenses due to robust construction
- 82mm filter thread: Larger filter size increases the cost of filters
- Limited legacy compatibility: Not compatible with older Nikon F film cameras
- Extending zoom design: Lens extends when zooming, which may affect balance for some users
- Fast AF with full-time manual focus - Full-time manual focus function allows the lens to be switched to manual focus simply by rotating the focus ring.
- Outstanding optical performance - Three SLD glass lens elements and four aspherical lens elements help minimize optical aberrations. To ensure outstanding image quality from the center to the edges of the photograph, the optical system minimizes coma, which causes points of light to streak, and transverse chromatic aberration, which cannot be corrected by adjusting the aperture.
- Incorporating advanced aspherical lens processing technology - Aspherical lenses necessitate refined expertise in the design and manufacturing of advanced, high-performance lenses. This lens incorporates an aspherical lens element that helps achieve extremely high resolution.
- Bokeh that is a cut above - At wide-open aperture, this lens offers outstanding photographic expression. The area in focus is extremely sharp, while the background exhibits a beautiful bokeh effect with only slight spherical aberration. Since large-diameter zoom lenses are often used at wide-open aperture, SIGMA has paid close attention to the shape of the bokeh, aiming for perfect circularity.
- Exclusive low-dispersion glass - Most chromatic aberration can be removed by combining a high-refractivity convex lens element with a low-refractivity concave element. Yet residual chromatic aberration known as “secondary spectrum” may still remain. To minimize this secondary spectrum, which can be a serious issue with conventional lenses, SIGMA lenses feature up to three types of exclusive low-dispersion glass offering superior performance: ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion), SLD (Special Low Dispersion) and FLD (“F” Low Dispersion). In particular, FLD glass offers ultra-low dispersion in combination with high transmittance and the anomalous dispersion characteristics of fluorite.
- Designed to minimize flare and ghosting - SIGMA’s Super Multi-Layer Coating helps further reduce flare and ghosting and provides sharp, high-contrast images even in backlit conditions.
- Incorporating the OS function for success on any shoot - Designed for use in a wide variety of situations, the optical stabilizer (OS) offers a powerful stabilization effect of 4 stops.
- Newly designed HSM for fast AF performance - The newly designed hypersonic motor (HSM) offers 1.3 times the torque of its predecessor. Even at low speeds, it offers exceptionally stable performance.
- Mount with Dust and Splash Resistant Structure - Since the area of the lens most vulnerable to dust and other foreign bodies is the mount, rubber sealing* helps provide peace of mind. In addition, the front lens element features a water- and oil-repellant coating that helps the lens perform well in the rain, near water, and in other challenging conditions.
- Rounded diaphragm - The 9-blade rounded diaphragm creates an attractive blur in the out-of-focus areas of the image.
- High-precision, rugged brass bayonet mount - The brass mount combines high precision with rugged construction. Its treated surfaces and enhanced strength contribute to the exceptional durability of the lens.

It is so nice to see a small family owned shop instead of these big box stores. I generally felt cared about when getting my blackmagic cinema camera. Love the quality of the images and how easy it is to use.

This small business has the best customer service HANDS DOWN!!
Lucas worked with me diligently to help me find a camera that would fit my needs and that would arrive in time for my trip. I take photos, but wanted a smaller, more compact camera to take with me when traveling. He even reached out to other camera experts to make sure he was giving me the best advice for the equipment that would accommodate my needs!
Lucas was patient with me and was in constant contact with the camera supplier to keep me updated on the status of my order and when the items would be ready for shipment. Once my order arrived to the store, it was in my hands in less than 2 days. I would give 10 stars to this business if I could!!
SHOP SMALL! :)
AMAZING SERVICE!
In short: I was able to receive the black colorway below retail and free next day shipping with the promos that they offered for being a new camera web-shop based from AZ.
Long story: Lucas who is prolly the only rep for the company cuz they're so small is the best dude ever. Since i ordered he responded on emails and updates quicker than some of my friends texting me back about where am at on the list as people just kept cancelling their order. I went from 9th place in line to 4th place in line for the silver. And he hit me up saying that they were still waiting on Fuji to send shipping updates and that no company knows what they get on their weekly fuji shipments other than from a 24 hour window of receiving shipping details.
He then noted that there were two black X100Vs available that were reserved to customers who ordered but have not confirmed. I said if they dont confirm please let me know and ill take that instead of the silver. The next day he hits me saying the customer said to cancel and he sent me an invoice. I ordered accessories for the camera on amazon right after and my package for the camera came before my amazon package. Lucas was super nice and transparent about everything. Dope experience from NUZIRA.
Lucas was so incredibly helpful!!! I’ve genuinely never had better customer service. They offered to stay late so I could get my order and were so patient with all my questions. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

NUZIRA MADE MY MONTH!
I was a little concerned when I first came across this small business but I am so so thankful I di! They have the NICESt staff and customer service. I have been on the waitlist for this camera for a few months now so when Lucas called saying they had it back in stock I was so freaking excited! Made my whole month. This camera absolutely lives up to the hype. I love how lightweight it is. I can pop it into any bag and head out the door. the images are crisp, high quality, and stunning. I use film sim and not film sim. The film simulations are nearly identical to real film. I have another fuji camera that does film sim but it can't even be compared to this one. I love my Fujifilm X100v so much! Amazing camera! Thanks you Nuzira!
