Designed as part of Sigma’s groundbreaking AF Cine Line, this lens merges the optical brilliance of Sigma’s acclaimed Art series with true cinema-grade mechanics, delivering a constant T2 aperture across the entire 28–45mm zoom range for consistent exposure, exceptional low-light performance, and beautifully controlled depth of field.
Covering full-frame sensors with a wide 65.5° to 43.6° angle of view, it offers versatile focal lengths ideal for narrative filmmaking, commercials, documentaries, corporate video, and high-end content creation, all while maintaining edge-to-edge sharpness and cinematic rendering. At the heart of the lens is Sigma’s High-Response Linear Actuator (HLA) autofocus system, engineered for fast, precise, and near-silent AF operation—an enormous advantage for run-and-gun shoots, gimbal work, solo operators, and productions where pulling focus manually isn’t always practical. The lens also supports AF/MF switching, DMF and AF Assist on Sony E-mount, and AF+MF on L-mount, giving shooters flexible control over their workflow without sacrificing creative intent. Built to true cine standards, the Sigma 28–45mm T2 features 0.8 MOD gears on focus, zoom, and iris rings, a de-clicked aperture, and long, smooth rotations—200° focus throw, 60° zoom rotation, and 57° iris rotation—for precise, repeatable adjustments with follow-focus systems.
Its 11-blade rounded diaphragm produces smooth, natural bokeh, while a 0.3 m minimum focus distance and 1:4 magnification ratio enable striking close-ups with dramatic subject separation. Physically, the lens is optimized for professional rigs, featuring a standard 95mm front diameter for matte boxes, an 82mm filter thread, and a robust SF-91 lens support foot included for added stability on rails. Measuring approximately 151–153 mm in length and weighing around 1.2 kg, it balances well on cinema cameras while remaining practical for handheld and stabilizer setups. Features:
True Cinema Zoom with Built-In Autofocus
The Sigma 28–45mm T2 Cine Zoom Lens with AF stands apart as one of the very few true cinema lenses to offer integrated autofocus, eliminating the traditional tradeoff between cinematic handling and modern AF performance. Powered by Sigma’s High-Response Linear Actuator (HLA), the autofocus system delivers fast, accurate, and nearly silent focusing designed specifically for video capture. This enables reliable subject tracking, smoother focus transitions, and reduced focus hunting—ideal for solo operators, documentary shooters, gimbal work, live productions, and fast-paced commercial environments where speed and precision matter more than ever.
Constant T2 Aperture for Consistent Exposure and Creative Control
Unlike variable-aperture zooms, this lens maintains a constant T2 transmission across the entire 28–45mm range, ensuring exposure consistency while zooming. This is critical for professional productions where lighting continuity and grading efficiency are non-negotiable. The fast T2 aperture also enables superior low-light performance, cleaner shadows, and greater creative control over depth of field—allowing filmmakers to shape mood, isolate subjects, and maintain cinematic visual integrity without constant lighting or camera adjustments.
Full-Frame Coverage Optimized for Modern Cinema Cameras
Designed to cover full-frame sensors, the Sigma 28–45mm T2 Cine Zoom supports the latest high-resolution cinema cameras without vignetting or edge degradation. With a horizontal angle of view ranging from 65.5° to 43.6°, it delivers versatile framing options suited for establishing shots, interviews, narrative scenes, and dynamic movement shots. This future-ready full-frame coverage protects your investment as camera technology continues to evolve.
Cinema-Grade Mechanical Design with Precision Control
Every mechanical aspect of this lens is engineered to meet professional cinema standards. It features industry-standard 0.8 MOD gears on the focus, zoom, and iris rings, ensuring seamless compatibility with follow-focus systems and motorized controls. The lens offers a 200° focus rotation, 60° zoom throw, and 57° iris rotation, allowing precise, repeatable adjustments essential for narrative work, multi-take scenes, and complex focus pulls. The fully de-clicked aperture ring enables smooth exposure transitions without visible stepping.
Optical Performance Based on Sigma Art-Series Excellence
Built on the proven optical design of Sigma’s acclaimed 28–45mm F1.8 DG DN | Art lens, this cine version delivers exceptional sharpness, contrast, and color accuracy across the frame. The lens produces clean, detailed images with controlled flare and ghosting, even in challenging lighting. This optical consistency simplifies color matching, reduces post-production correction, and ensures footage holds up across multiple camera systems and shooting conditions.
Smooth, Natural Bokeh with an 11-Blade Iris
The 11-blade rounded diaphragm creates smooth, organic bokeh that enhances subject separation and cinematic depth. Highlights remain soft and natural, helping footage feel polished and emotionally engaging rather than clinical. This is especially valuable for interviews, narrative close-ups, and commercial work where visual tone plays a critical role in storytelling.
Close-Focus Capability for Versatile Shot Design
With a minimum focus distance of just 0.3 meters and a 1:4 magnification ratio, the lens enables striking close-ups without the need to swap lenses or add diopters. This flexibility allows filmmakers to capture detail shots, product visuals, and expressive framing while maintaining consistent optical character throughout the scene.
Professional Rig Compatibility and On-Set Practicality
The lens features a standard 95mm front diameter, making it fully compatible with professional matte boxes, filters, and cine accessories. An 82mm filter thread offers additional flexibility for lightweight setups. The included SF-91 lens support foot improves stability on rails and reduces strain on the camera mount—essential for long shooting days and heavier rig configurations.
Balanced Build for Handheld, Gimbal, and Studio Use
Weighing approximately 1.2 kg and measuring around 151–153 mm in length, the Sigma 28–45mm T2 Cine Zoom is carefully balanced for a wide range of shooting styles. It performs equally well on shoulder rigs, tripods, sliders, and motorized gimbals, making it a highly adaptable tool for modern hybrid productions.
Dust- and Splash-Resistant Construction for Real-World Shoots
Built for professional use beyond controlled studio environments, the lens features dust- and splash-resistant construction. This added durability ensures reliable performance during outdoor shoots, travel productions, and unpredictable weather conditions—helping crews stay productive when conditions are less than ideal.
Multiple Mount Options and Professional Marking Choices
Available in Sony E-mount and L-mount, the lens supports a wide range of cinema and mirrorless camera systems. Sigma also offers both feet and metric focus scale versions, allowing cinematographers to match their preferred measurement system for accurate, intuitive focus pulling on set.

It is so nice to see a small family owned shop instead of these big box stores. I generally felt cared about when getting my blackmagic cinema camera. Love the quality of the images and how easy it is to use.

This small business has the best customer service HANDS DOWN!!
Lucas worked with me diligently to help me find a camera that would fit my needs and that would arrive in time for my trip. I take photos, but wanted a smaller, more compact camera to take with me when traveling. He even reached out to other camera experts to make sure he was giving me the best advice for the equipment that would accommodate my needs!
Lucas was patient with me and was in constant contact with the camera supplier to keep me updated on the status of my order and when the items would be ready for shipment. Once my order arrived to the store, it was in my hands in less than 2 days. I would give 10 stars to this business if I could!!
SHOP SMALL! :)
AMAZING SERVICE!
In short: I was able to receive the black colorway below retail and free next day shipping with the promos that they offered for being a new camera web-shop based from AZ.
Long story: Lucas who is prolly the only rep for the company cuz they're so small is the best dude ever. Since i ordered he responded on emails and updates quicker than some of my friends texting me back about where am at on the list as people just kept cancelling their order. I went from 9th place in line to 4th place in line for the silver. And he hit me up saying that they were still waiting on Fuji to send shipping updates and that no company knows what they get on their weekly fuji shipments other than from a 24 hour window of receiving shipping details.
He then noted that there were two black X100Vs available that were reserved to customers who ordered but have not confirmed. I said if they dont confirm please let me know and ill take that instead of the silver. The next day he hits me saying the customer said to cancel and he sent me an invoice. I ordered accessories for the camera on amazon right after and my package for the camera came before my amazon package. Lucas was super nice and transparent about everything. Dope experience from NUZIRA.
Lucas was so incredibly helpful!!! I’ve genuinely never had better customer service. They offered to stay late so I could get my order and were so patient with all my questions. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

NUZIRA MADE MY MONTH!
I was a little concerned when I first came across this small business but I am so so thankful I di! They have the NICESt staff and customer service. I have been on the waitlist for this camera for a few months now so when Lucas called saying they had it back in stock I was so freaking excited! Made my whole month. This camera absolutely lives up to the hype. I love how lightweight it is. I can pop it into any bag and head out the door. the images are crisp, high quality, and stunning. I use film sim and not film sim. The film simulations are nearly identical to real film. I have another fuji camera that does film sim but it can't even be compared to this one. I love my Fujifilm X100v so much! Amazing camera! Thanks you Nuzira!
