The Tokina 105mm Cinema PRO IRND 1.5 Lens Filter (5 Stop) is a professional-grade optical masterpiece engineered for filmmakers and photographers who demand unmatched precision, control, and color fidelity. Crafted with Tokina’s advanced ACCU-ND technology, this filter delivers a true 1.5 optical density that reduces light transmission by exactly 5 stops, allowing you to achieve perfect exposure control even in bright or high-contrast lighting environments. What truly sets it apart is its ability to suppress infrared (IR) contamination up to approximately 1200 nm, a critical advantage for digital cinema cameras that often struggle with magenta or bronze color casts when using heavy ND filtration. This makes the Tokina PRO IRND 1.5 not just a neutral density filter—but an essential color-management tool that preserves accurate tones, crisp contrast, and deep, neutral blacks, even under harsh shooting conditions.
The 105 mm PRO IRND features optically pure glass encased in a super-slim, all-metal aluminum frame, ensuring rugged durability without compromising image sharpness or introducing vignetting on wide-angle or full-frame lenses. Its vapor-deposition coating on both sides ensures uniform density and minimal reflection, while its rare-earth metal ACCU-ND process provides unparalleled spectral neutrality across the entire visible range. Unlike conventional ND filters that can skew color balance, the Tokina PRO IRND 1.5 maintains a flat spectral transmission curve, preserving true-to-life colors and consistent white balance, reducing the need for color correction in post-production. Every detail is designed for precision: from its cinema-ready 105 mm diameter compatible with professional matte boxes and telephoto fronts, to its threaded mount that provides a secure, reliable fit.

Features:
True 5-Stop Neutral Density for Complete Exposure Control
The Tokina 105mm Cinema PRO IRND 1.5 Filter provides an exact optical density of 1.5, equating to a precise 5-stop reduction in light transmission. This precision allows cinematographers and photographers to maintain consistent exposure in bright outdoor environments without compromising on aperture or shutter speed. Whether you're shooting wide-open to achieve cinematic depth of field or slowing your shutter for smooth motion blur, this ND filter ensures balanced exposure and creative freedom under any lighting condition.
Advanced Infrared Suppression up to 1200nm
One of the standout features of the Tokina Cinema PRO IRND series is its exceptional infrared (IR) control. Many digital cinema sensors are prone to IR pollution, which can cause unwanted magenta or brown color casts in darker tones when using heavy ND filters. Tokina solves this issue with specialized IR suppression technology that attenuates wavelengths up to approximately 1200 nanometers, keeping blacks rich and neutral. This ensures true-to-life color rendition even when stacking filters or filming under intense sunlight — a level of IR control that few filters in this class can achieve.
ACCU-ND Coating for Unmatched Color Neutrality
Engineered with Tokina’s proprietary ACCU-ND coating technology, this filter guarantees zero perceptible color shift across the visible spectrum. The process uses rare-earth metal vapor deposition to maintain a perfectly flat transmission curve, ensuring that whites remain white, skin tones stay natural, and every hue appears exactly as intended. Unlike cheaper ND filters that introduce warm or cool tints, the Tokina PRO IRND 1.5 preserves your camera’s original color science, dramatically reducing post-production color correction.
Vapor-Deposition Coating on Both Sides for Maximum Optical Stability
Every Tokina PRO IRND filter is built with vapor-deposition coatings applied to both sides of its precision-ground optical glass. This multi-layer process enhances durability, improves light transmission uniformity, and minimizes internal reflections that can lead to flares or ghosting. The result is a filter that maintains optical consistency even under extreme lighting angles — ideal for high-contrast scenes, direct sunlight, or high-intensity studio lighting setups.
Precision Optical Glass for Superior Image Clarity
The filter’s optical core is made from high-transmission glass meticulously polished to maintain absolute clarity and resolution. It introduces no visible distortion, maintaining the resolving power of modern 4K, 6K, and even 8K cinema lenses. Combined with its neutral coating profile, this ensures edge-to-edge sharpness, excellent contrast, and faithful micro-detail reproduction, even in large-format sensors.
Super-Slim All-Metal Frame Design
Tokina constructed the PRO IRND 1.5 with a super-slim, all-aluminum frame designed to eliminate vignetting on wide-angle lenses while offering robust durability for demanding professional environments. The precision-machined metal ring holds the glass element securely, resisting flex and maintaining alignment even in fluctuating temperatures. This slim build also ensures compatibility with gimbal systems, matte boxes, and other professional camera rigs without adding unnecessary weight or bulk.
Cinema-Ready 105mm Form Factor
Built for the cinema world, this filter’s 105mm round form factor is compatible with a wide range of professional cine lenses, including those from Tokina, Canon, Fujinon, and Angénieux. Its standardized size ensures seamless integration into your existing workflow, whether you’re shooting with screw-in setups or using clamp-on matte boxes. This makes it a versatile choice for both handheld shooting and high-end studio rigs.
Flawless Color Fidelity Across the Visible Spectrum
Unlike many ND filters that unintentionally skew color balance toward warmer or cooler tones, the Tokina PRO IRND 1.5 achieves flat spectral transmission across the visible range. This ensures consistent, predictable color performance under all lighting conditions — from daylight exteriors to tungsten interiors. The result is true color accuracy and tonal consistency across multiple shots, eliminating mismatched footage and ensuring effortless color grading in post.
Professional-Grade Infrared and Neutral Density Combination
The Tokina Cinema PRO IRND 1.5 combines neutral density filtration and infrared suppression into a single precision-engineered glass element. This dual-action design allows filmmakers to manage exposure and IR pollution simultaneously without the need for stacking separate filters. It delivers a cleaner, more efficient workflow and maintains the highest possible optical performance with fewer layers of glass in front of the lens.
Engineered for Digital Cinema Cameras
Modern digital cinema cameras like RED, ARRI, Blackmagic, Canon, and Sony often exhibit IR sensitivity that standard ND filters cannot handle. The Tokina PRO IRND 1.5 is specifically engineered to complement these advanced sensors, preventing IR contamination that leads to unwanted color artifacts. This makes it an ideal companion for professional cinematographers working with high-end digital systems that require both precise exposure management and color integrity.
Protective Filter Pouch Included
Each Tokina 105mm PRO IRND 1.5 filter comes packaged with a durable protective pouch, designed to safeguard your investment from scratches, dust, and moisture. The pouch’s soft interior and compact design make it easy to store in camera bags or filter cases, ensuring your filter remains in pristine condition between shoots.
Built for Longevity and Professional Reliability
Every Tokina PRO IRND filter is engineered with robust construction standards to withstand the demands of on-set use. The coatings are chemically bonded for long-term stability, resisting fading, delamination, and discoloration even after years of heavy use. Whether in humid environments, desert heat, or cold mountain locations, the Tokina filter delivers consistent optical performance you can depend on.

What does “IRND 1.5 (5-Stop)” mean on this Tokina filter?
IRND stands for Infrared Neutral Density. The “1.5” is the optical density that equates to a 5-stop reduction in light, allowing precise exposure control while also suppressing infrared wavelengths that can cause color shifts on digital cinema sensors.
Why is infrared suppression important for digital cinema cameras?
Many modern sensors are sensitive to near-IR light. When you add heavy ND, IR can leak through and pollute shadows, turning blacks magenta or bronze. The Tokina Cinema PRO IRND attenuates IR (to approximately 1200 nm), keeping blacks neutral and preserving true color fidelity.
Does this filter shift color or white balance?
The filter is engineered for flat spectral transmission using Tokina’s ACCU-ND process and dual-sided vapor-deposition coatings. In practice, it maintains near-zero color shift, so white balance and skin tones remain consistent and grading becomes faster.
Will the 105 mm size fit my lens?
It fits lenses with a 105 mm front filter thread or clamp-on accessories that accept 105 mm round filters. Always confirm your lens’ thread size or adapter diameter before purchasing.
Is there a front thread on the filter for stacking?
No. This 105 mm round Cinema PRO IRND features a flat front without a secondary accessory thread. If you need to combine with other optics, use a matte box or compatible holders designed for 105 mm filters.
What materials and coatings are used?
The optical element is precision glass set in a super-slim aluminum ring. Coatings include ACCU-ND rare-earth metal deposition for neutrality and vapor-deposition ND coatings on both sides to enhance uniformity and minimize reflections.
Can I use it for still photography as well as video?
Yes. While designed for cinema, the filter works perfectly for stills—enabling wide-aperture shooting in bright light, longer shutter speeds for motion effects, and consistent color across sequences.
Will this filter cause vignetting on wide lenses?
The ring is engineered with a slim profile to help minimize vignetting. Actual results depend on lens focal length, sensor size, and any additional accessories. For very wide angles, test your setup or consult lens-specific guidance.
What’s included in the box?
The filter ships with a protective pouch for safe storage and transport. Keep the filter clean and protected to maintain optical performance.
How do I clean and care for the filter?
Blow off loose dust first, then use a clean microfiber cloth with a small amount of lens-safe solution. Wipe in gentle circular motions from center outward. Avoid harsh solvents or abrasive materials to protect the coatings.
Is this compatible with gimbals and drones?
Its slim, all-metal construction reduces weight and bulk, making it a strong option for balanced gimbal setups. Drone use depends on your specific rig, payload capacity, and mounting method—verify compatibility before flight.
What shooting scenarios benefit most from a 5-stop IRND?
Bright exteriors, scenes requiring shallow depth of field in daylight, balanced motion blur at fixed shutter angles (e.g., 180° rule), and color-critical work where IR pollution must be controlled are ideal use cases for this 5-stop density.

This small business has the best customer service HANDS DOWN!!
Lucas worked with me diligently to help me find a camera that would fit my needs and that would arrive in time for my trip. I take photos, but wanted a smaller, more compact camera to take with me when traveling. He even reached out to other camera experts to make sure he was giving me the best advice for the equipment that would accommodate my needs!
Lucas was patient with me and was in constant contact with the camera supplier to keep me updated on the status of my order and when the items would be ready for shipment. Once my order arrived to the store, it was in my hands in less than 2 days. I would give 10 stars to this business if I could!!
SHOP SMALL! :)
AMAZING SERVICE!
In short: I was able to receive the black colorway below retail and free next day shipping with the promos that they offered for being a new camera web-shop based from AZ.
Long story: Lucas who is prolly the only rep for the company cuz they're so small is the best dude ever. Since i ordered he responded on emails and updates quicker than some of my friends texting me back about where am at on the list as people just kept cancelling their order. I went from 9th place in line to 4th place in line for the silver. And he hit me up saying that they were still waiting on Fuji to send shipping updates and that no company knows what they get on their weekly fuji shipments other than from a 24 hour window of receiving shipping details.
He then noted that there were two black X100Vs available that were reserved to customers who ordered but have not confirmed. I said if they dont confirm please let me know and ill take that instead of the silver. The next day he hits me saying the customer said to cancel and he sent me an invoice. I ordered accessories for the camera on amazon right after and my package for the camera came before my amazon package. Lucas was super nice and transparent about everything. Dope experience from NUZIRA.
Lucas was so incredibly helpful!!! I’ve genuinely never had better customer service. They offered to stay late so I could get my order and were so patient with all my questions. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

NUZIRA MADE MY MONTH!
I was a little concerned when I first came across this small business but I am so so thankful I di! They have the NICESt staff and customer service. I have been on the waitlist for this camera for a few months now so when Lucas called saying they had it back in stock I was so freaking excited! Made my whole month. This camera absolutely lives up to the hype. I love how lightweight it is. I can pop it into any bag and head out the door. the images are crisp, high quality, and stunning. I use film sim and not film sim. The film simulations are nearly identical to real film. I have another fuji camera that does film sim but it can't even be compared to this one. I love my Fujifilm X100v so much! Amazing camera! Thanks you Nuzira!
